RMHC Alumni Memorial Scholarship

Background

Riverview Minor Hockey Club has operated in the community of Riverview NB since 1966. Over that period an average of 600 kids per year have participated from September to April each year in Canada’s favourite game. In total, over 4000 player alumni have graduated from RMHC’s program and a similar number of 4000 Club volunteers have participated in the delivery of the programs. The scholarship is in honor of those deceased Players, Volunteers and Club Members who have participated & dedicated time and effort toward the development of minor hockey in the Riverview Minor Hockey Club.

This award provides the selected recipient with a one time $500 scholarship to be used toward post-secondary education in a field of their choice.

Eligibility

The RMHC Alumni Memorial Scholarship is intended for students who meet the following

mandatory eligibility criteria;

a) Presently a member in “good standing” at the Riverview Minor Hockey Club.

b) A member of the Riverview Minor Hockey Club for a minimum of six (6) years.

c) A Resident of the Town of Riverview

d) Enrolled in Grade 12 and graduating in the current year of application.

e) Will be enrolling in post secondary education upon graduation.

Criteria & Submission Requirements

The applicant must provide documented proof that they meet the eligibility criteria. They must provide academic performance reports with their submission. They may also provide letters of reference, letters from parents, and any other additional supporting material to support their application as to why they deserve this scholarship. The information will be reviewed by the RMHC Executive Committee. The criteria for review will include but may not be limited to;

2 Club and Community Volunteer Contribution

3 Academic & Athletic Performance

4               Future Education Plans and Goals 

Amount $500

Deadline for submission is April 30th
